Our NurserY
At East Ardsley Primary Academy we believe that early education is essential to give the children the skills, knowledge and experiences they need to prepare themselves for school and their future learning. We focus on developing all the pre-learning skills children need to become successful learners: listening skills, social skills such as , counting, experience of stories, making and doing, exploring ideas and learning to express themselves.
There is free-flow continuous access to our indoor and outdoor provision. The children lead their own learning as the adults who work alongside them encourage and support them in developing new language and learning to follow the daily routines. The environment is set up to inspire and guide the children's play giving them everything they need to build their independence and to learn to be part of a group.
East Ardsley Primary Academy Nursery takes children from the half-term after their third birthday. At this point every child is entitled to 15 hours of free provision per week. This is offered as Start of Week (All day Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesday morning or Wednesday afternoon, and Thursday and Friday all day). As our sessions exceed the 15 free hours per week there is an additional weekly charge of £6.
Where parents are entitled to 30 free hours they have to apply for the acceptance code which they then give to school. As our sessions exceed the 30 free hours per week there is an additional weekly charge of £12.
